About Us

      Like many endeavors, Backdraft Lure Company started as a hobby.  What started as an idea on paper for a brand new lure snowballed into what we have created today. After many years of tinkering with fishing tackle, in 2016 the decision was made to give it a shot and turn a hobby into a small business.

      Owner Brandon Crimmons is a career Firefighter by trade, and an enthusiastic fisherman since he could hold a rod. Many weekends were spent with Dad (Ben) fishing, camping, and hunting, thus establishing a lifelong love of the outdoors. Sadly, Bennie Crimmons passed in 2017, and never got to see the dream come to fruition. This website, and Backdraft Lure Co., are dedicated to his memory. 

       Every lure we produce is made by hand, in our home garage, one by one. We source the highest quality components we can possibly find, from American companies. We create and test our color schemes to catch fish, not fishermen! We hope you enjoy our products and create lifetime memories on the water.
